Cold, refreshing beverages are essential when planning a graduation, reunion or summer pool party in the Valley. An inexpensive, convenient and trendy option from a Queen Creek businessman can add flavor and fun to these summer celebrations. Chris Sarcione, Owner of Draft Excellence, is a Home Bar and Commercial Draft System Specialist, offering solutions for any homeowner, caterer or party planner’s beverage needs.
Draft Excellence provides sales, installation and maintenance of permanent kegerators and beer draft systems, along with portable rentals of draft beer equipment. They also offer root beer jockey box rentals for kid’s parties.
Here are some quick tips from Chris when serving beverages at your party:
Is it true you need a permit to drink beer at a party at a park?
- Yes. Beer permits are available through parks and recreation for $12.50. If you have a party in a banquet hall, check first to see if they allow beer or if you have to get a permit.
How many servings in a keg versus a 24-pack of beer?
- There are 1,984 ounces, 15.5 gallons or 6.8 cases of beer in a keg. That roughly translates to 180 12 ounce glasses (.45/per beer) or 141 16 ounce glasses (.57/per beer) based on 14 ounces of beer in a pint. Not to mention less trash and no bottles or cans to dispose of or recycle.
How long can you keep beer fresh?
- Most domestic beers have a freshness date of 50 to 70 days and imports can last as long as a year due to pasteurization, although, as long as keg beer is kept at 38 degrees or below it can last much longer.
How are the portable rental systems used?
- They are delivered, setup (no electricity required) and picked up the following day at your house or business anywhere, Valley-wide. These units are completely portable and can be taken most anywhere. These systems eliminate virtually all waste due to foamy beer.
What about the kids?
- Liquor stores sell top of the line draft root beer in 5 or 15 gallon kegs. Check with your local liquor store for current pricing on root beer kegs. Kids can pour their own root beer right from the tap and add ice cream for a deliciously yummy treat. Who doesn’t love a Root Beer Float?!
Basic costs?
$80 for the first day, $30 each day after or $120 for a three day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), advanced reservation equipment rental. Tubs and CO2 are provided with all rental packages. The consumer merely provides the kegs, the ice and the cups.
Draft Excellence is the only company in the Valley offering the home bar owner professional installation and maintenance of draft systems.
